Alt Key Code Shortcuts

March 28, 2019

In a previous tip we highlighted that if a menu command has a shortcut, if you hover over the icon it will give you the shortcut in brackets.

If there is no dedicated short cut assigned, it doesn’t mean that the only way to access this feature is by using your mouse. The Alt Key Code shortcuts enable you to access any Menu Item using your Keyboard.

Simply press the Alt Key. Letters representing each of the Main Menu items will appear next to each item. Pressing a letter will select this item and then in turn put a letter against each of the commands for that menu. If a command in turn has a number of sub items pressing this letter will drill down further.

For example, to add a border to selected cells. Press alt H B A (Home Borders All)
